Javascript code was missing!

YES! Finally I managed to find the solution of this Photoshop problem that I have been having for months. Suddenly (I believe after I upgraded my MacOSX) few of the default Automate plugins e.g. Fit Image & Photomerge disappeared even though they are all there when I checked the folder. The error code was “Javascript code was missing”.

I searched forums after forums…..and I even reformatted the entire Mac thinking it as a solution.

The solution is pretty simple, rename the default Application (installation) folder to something else! VIOLA! All problems gone & photoshop is now able to locate the file.

BTW I am using CS5 with iMac (MacOSX 10.6.5).

I ma having exactly this issue and have talked to Adobe over 7 hours on the phone to no avail. Exactly what do you mean be renaming the default application folder? Do you mean calling CS5.app something else?
Can you walk me through this? I desperately need your help!

Nope. Just create a different folder other than Application & move the CS5 app there.
